The landing on the Moon - a delicate matter

We all know about the landing...It happened on the 21st of July 1969. It was a fabulous event for the mankind. "A big step" as Neil Armstrong said. Unfortunately, he died this year, at the age of 82. Indeed, it was a big step for all of us...Because they fullfilled man's highest dream: to fly to the Moon and stars...Because they offered us some valuable pieces of information about our natural satellite. They opened a new chapter in the space science.

Despite all that, there are some people who sustain that everything was just a setup, an ingenious play. The reason was simple. They had to land on the Moon, so that the Russians could not win "The Race for Space". They set everything up because they didn't have the possibility of actually doing it.

Which are the arguments in favour of this theory? First, the shades that could be seen in the back of the astronauts. Secondly, the U.S. flag waved...And we know that there is no wind on the Moon. The question is: How could it wave?

Of course, this is only a theory. The astronauts themselves and most of the people believe in the veridicality of the Apollo 11 mission. Why? Because no one could create on Earth conditions similar to those existing on the Moon. Trying to do that would have been a waste of time and money. The organizing of a real mission cost them less money and less energy than faking a landing on the Moon. The Soviets had the technology to intercept the conversations between the headquarters and the crew on the ship. If they had heard anything about a hoax, they would have said something about it back then, in 1969. They wouldn't have let so much time pass...

These are the two versions about the Apollo 11 mission. One of them leads us to a hoax, and the other to a real mission. I would say that Apollo 11 was, indeed, a real and historical mission. What do you think? Was it?
